Re: Minor suggestion

Thanks -- will add that to the TODO list for furture revs.

By the way -- fantastic work on the GPIB toolkit! (Thought that callsign looked familiar... ;) )

Re: compatibility firmware, fpga, and libbladerf

In general, you'll want to stick with version sets listed on release page on GitHub. These are the tested configurations and are what the developers recommend be packaged together. The release notes of the FX3 and the FPGA should generally list important notes about compatibility changes. https://nu...

Re: Minor suggestion

Hi KE5FX, Thanks for sharing your use-case. The installer framework is supposed to operate as you described to be the de facto standard... provided one only lists files themselves as uninstall targets. Based on the behavior you describe, it must be that we have an entire directory listed... Do you r...

Re: Failed to open device : Insufficient permissions

Excellent. You just need to ensure the RBF files are readable (no need for write access) by users using the device so they can load the FPGA. You are correct about the the 1.9.1 requirement for YateBTS. The Yate code would need a patch similar to this one to detect the new VID/PID. If you ever have ...

Re: Failed to open device : Insufficient permissions

So it looks like you have the udev rules correct, and I see a bladeRF running firmware 2.0.0 is attached. This is a good start! (1) I just noticed that the error happens when loading the FPGA. At this point you should already have opened the device successfully. Could you check the permissions of /u...

Re: Questions from a beginner

Hi jom, I'm a little confused by what you're asking about the Simulink block set. Maybe things will become clearer to both of us with the following notes: 1. Simulink-MATLAB-bladeRF is deprecated, so you can ignore this project entirely. MATLAB and Simulink support was entirely re-written using the ...

Re: Questions from a beginner

That's not a tone or spur -- that's the result of integration gain over a DC offset. This is common with direct conversion receivers. You can read more here: https://github.com/Nuand/bladeRF/wiki/DC-offset-and-IQ-Imbalance-Correction#overview Note that playing with the DC offset I and Q values will ...

Re: Minor suggestion

Thanks for the heads up! Could you elaborate on which files of yours where removed and where they resided, just so that we can consider than when looking at the uninstall logic? I know that usually some MATLAB-generated files from the install will get left behind -- I'm wondering if trying to clean ...

Re: Failed to open device : Insufficient permissions

It looks like you might need to update your udev rules. The 2.0.0 firmware introduces a new VID/PID that you'll need to ensure is in there. Here's an example - replace @BLADERF_GROUP@ with the desired group name (e.g., plugdev). https://github.com/Nuand/bladeRF/blob/master/host/misc/udev/88-nuand.ru...

Re: Using XB-300 amplifier with other SDRs

No worries! Check minicircuits.com too -- they have some nice amps with SMA connections.
