Re: Help using FIR IP from Altera in BladeRF FPGA build proc

Thank you for the suggestions. I really thought we were onto something with the qip file because I hadn't added the FIR filter. I have now and unfortunately it made no difference. To be clear: I can simulate my module (which includes the FIR along with an atan cordic block) and it works fine in Mode...

Re: Top-level Simulaition Using ModelSim?

Quick update: I am now able to simulate just simple testbenches in ModelSim that I've started through the blade_rf project. What I do is this: - put all my custom code into a module (that is inserted into the bladerf top level) - create a testbench for that module - launch modelsim from Quartus (thi...

Help using FIR IP from Altera in BladeRF FPGA build procedur

I have successfully built the bladerf_hosted build for the fpga and I've been able to put my own customized code in it. I am having trouble with the FIR filter IP from altera though. I have inserted it into my design with vhdl and compiled it successfully. Then I've launched modelsim and I created a...

Re: adding some DSP function in Tx/Rx path (Modem and Filter

Hi, You should first download Quartus Prime and learn a bit about how to use it. Then download the zip file of the entire build directory and put it somewhere on your PC and find the quartus project file and open in Quartus. I was able to navigate the project and find the place in bladerf_hosted.vhd...

Re: Top-level Simulaition Using ModelSim?

There are no replies to this, is it because it hasn't been done yet? I'm also looking to simulate FPGA development. A little bit of help in getting started with modelSim would be awesome. I see some things in the FPGA directories that makes it look like it has been set up for modelSim.
