I was looking at the xb 300 code, I could only find functions to enable and attach the xb 300 expansion board. The RF frontends of the basic board are connected to the RXIF and TXIF of the XB300. My question is if the output of the frontend is already modulated. How can the ADC/DAC on the XB300 work on that frequency ?

The XB-300 is an amplifier board. There's a PA for transmit, and an LNA for receive. The ADC on the XB-300 just converts the PA's power detect voltage to a digital value that can be interpreted by the FPGA/host.
