I know the bladeRFs 2.0 xA4 micro max CW transmit power is +8dBm, but what does this translate to the Osmocom Sink block? I can set RF/IF/BB gain seperately. At first I assumed everything at 0 is already the highest but testing via TX1 to RX1 via a 30dB attenuator, I could still see an increase in transmit all the way to 66dB in RF.
Are BB and IF gains relevant at all? Further, does RF gain 0 in the Osmocom Sink block correspond to -58dBm then? so to transmit the max of +8dBm, I would choose RF at 66 in the block?
I couldn't really find any answer in the osmocom documentation since it only seems to reference the bladerRF 1.0

Re: Osmocom sink block - Gain values?
To reach around +8 dBm, you’ll need to raise the RF gain (e.g., near 60–66 on your setup), but the exact value depends on calibration.

Re: Osmocom sink block - Gain values?
Thank you! Another question that is not ontopic but would be helpful, does the bladerf 2.0 have a lower limit to pulse length? I have a vector source generating a 13us pulse at 75 MHz after around 50ms of prepulsebuffer and I'm not completely sure the device supports this short of a pulse. I at least do see a signal around 20us at my RXerfavorite wrote: ↑Mon Oct 06, 2025 9:54 pm To reach around +8 dBm, you’ll need to raise the RF gain (e.g., near 60–66 on your setup), but the exact value depends on calibration.
