HI,

First, i want to congralutate you for your bladeRF project, wich seems to be incredible !!! :-) What a good job.

i'm very interresting in SDR projects, for my ham-radio project. We are thinking on different solutions which could improve our contest results, and SDR may be a option :-p (that's why, my pseudo is F4BJH :-)

Dealing with my friends about FGPA solutions, we were wondering about the "Nios II IP license". I thought this IP was not free, and his use was time limited after .sof file flashing with Quartus II.
I also trid to generate the QSYS system, and it seems you use their IP, instead it is not time limited.

Could you explain me why ?

Thanks in advance for your reply,

The NIOS II processor we use in the FPGA is the economy version which is free to use and requires no license. The more fully featured NIOS II processors have a license fee associated with them.

More information can be found on Altera's NIOS II page.
