SSRI for true diversity reciever

Post by ben »

could anyone tell me if there is a SSRI ( signal strength radio indicator? ) on the bladeRF?

Can this value ( variable ) be used in GNUradio?

I am considering using two BladeRF boards for receiver / antenna diversity for audio widebandFM at approx 200mhz bandwidth.

can two BladeRF boards live happily next to one another on the same usb bus and can GNUradio use them simultaneously as long as there is sufficient usb bus bandwidth?

If so does anyone here know if its possible to flip flop the audio sink inputs in GRUradio to receive ' best SSRI level ' on the boards.

I am trying to copy what is called 'true diversity' in the radio mic receiver world.

Is there a better name for this ? or it just isn't being done yet in the SDR radio world?

the idea of two receivers is too avoid dropout of audio..

perhaps this can be done with packet data also ? anyone tried this yet ?
