Schemetics don't show HF coverage?

Post by drew23 »

Hi. Great looking device. Very good that coverage has been extended down to 60 kHz. Amateurs were very keen to see that.

However, the schematics don't seem to show the extension below 30 MHz. They are still the 30 - 300 MHz version. Could these be updated please, to satisfy my curiosity?

Sorry - it wasn't very clear in the block diagram. There is a separate input which is basically just a transformer as a balun for the differential inputs to the ADC or output from the DAC. Those are the 0.100" headers by the SMA cables.

So it will be a direct sampling solution for that low frequency. If you want, you can try to tune the LMS6002D close to the mixing frequncy from the ADF4351 to see how well it is, but LO will definitely be coming through which may swamp out any of the signals which might be there.

Does that help satisfy your curiosity?
