Cannot lock down 82280346 byte memory area (Cannot allocate memory)

Hi All,
Any idea how to fix this runtime error in gnuradio:
Cannot lock down 82280346 byte memory area (Cannot allocate memory)
I assume it has something to do with jackd memory allocation?
And, by the way, if you know the answer to this, please help me understand what jackd is used for. I am from the USRP world.
