Epoxy Resin / Conformal Coating / Potting

I would like to know if anyone here has actually tried applying conformal coating on BladeRF and what issues are involved.
You normally see black, hard Epoxy Resin on boards that need to be protected - from elements or to hide / protect specific components (glob-top or blob-top) on the board or to the entire board itself (for military grade equipment). Cost of the BladeRF makes it impractical to be actually experimenting on with different materials.
