BladeRF 2.0 micro xA9 as spectrum scanner

Hi all,
Did anybody try to use bladeRF 2.0 micro xA9 as a spectrum scanner?
From whats I see it looks like a bad idea: after setting bandwidth and sps to 29.65 MHz and 59.30 Msps respectively it takes ~0.012 secs to execute bladerf_set_frequency(...), which yields ~3.12 seconds to cover available frequencies range of 70-6000MHz in 200 steps.
And it's without reading actual data
Is there any chance I'm doing something wrong and it could work faster?
Thank you in advance
