Board Material

Post by JackB »

First of all, nice work on the layout! I'm looking forward to exercising it a bit.

I have a couple questions regarding the board. What substrate material is it? Was it a lead-free or leaded reflow? What material did you use for the stopmask/soldermask (it is gorgeous!)?

Thanks!
The board is an 8 layer, 5/5mil, custom stackup FR4 PCB. All of the components are RoHS, and the assembly procedure is also lead free. I am not entirely sure what compound the soldermask is made of, but it's what I got when I requested matte black.

Are you sure it is FR4? If I remember right, the Tg for FR4 is too low to support the lead-free reflow process.
